My Story
Hello, my name is Kris Deering. For nearly two decades I've been involved in the Home Theater industry in many capacities. I'm currently a writer/technical editor for Sound and Vision magazine and I've been a writer and editor for various other publications, both in print and online, including Home Theater magazine and Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity.
I've done consulting for some of the biggest names in the AV industry, offering a wide range of services including product development, product testing and training.
As a calibrator, I've delivered breathtaking images and audio performance to a wide range of clients at their homes and businesses. From family rooms to showcase demonstration rooms, I aim to deliver the best performance your system is capable of using the best tools on the market today.
Let me bring my passion for all things AV to your project, no matter how big or small. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes. When you work with me, you should expect a collaboration with transparency and integrity.
I am a retired Navy Veteran that served more than 20 years working for and with the US NAVY submarine force in various roles including the research and development of unmanned undersea vehicles, ocean engineering projects and as an Acoustic Engineer for the Navy submarine acoustic health program. I bring the same level of commitment and integrity to all my projects and customers.
